Canoeing Down the Little Miami Scenic River- Loveland, Ohio
Yes, there is a Miami River in Ohio, near Cincinnati. But today, August 4th, 2007, it sure FELT like it may have been in Florida– it was 95 degrees at noontime. Our little two-hour trek began at the drop-off point five miles upstream from Loveland, Ohio. That’s where the canoe rental company’s buses dropped you off with canoes. Across the river, towards the left of the screen is the Loveland- Milford bike trail, and at one point along the trek is a small stone castle overlooking the river.
The canoe trip is interesting and relaxing, and would have been far better if it had not been interrupted with the constant yells, outbursts and other unnecessary commotion from other canoeists nearby. All the noise you hear in the video is coming from other canoeists well behind us.
So, if you are planning a canoe trip soon, please keep in mind to be as quiet as possible. If you are with other people, please don’t shout, laugh loudly or carry on, as you can do that at home. Other people are paying money to rent the canoes to get away for a bit of peace and quiet and relaxation. They don’t want to hear your noise or have you ruin their trip.
